Competition Success in 2008
Holly and Allan Skinner from LeStep on the Coast are the hottest property in Australia's Modern Jive scene today. They blitzed the competition scene in 2008, taking out First Place in the Showcase/Cabaret category of all three (of a total of four) of the major Australian national Modern Jive championships they entered. Together with her freestyle partner Coby Chapple and under the guidance of 'supercoach' Allan, Holly was also First Place winner in the Masters Freestyle category at all three of the Australian national Modern Jive championships she entered.
Holly and Allan's competition wins and their reputation is not undeserved - with over 16 years' dance experience between them, they are well known for their stylish dancing, innovative choreography and their ceaseless desire to push forward the boundaries of Modern Jive.
LeStep on the Coast
Together with Emma and Kent Willis, Allan and Holly are co-directors and principal dancers of LeStep on the Coast, teaching popular and highly successful LeStep Modern Jive classes at a number of venues and locations across Queensland's Gold Coast.
In September 2008, LeStep hosted the inaugural Dance Escape Weekender, and as part of this event Holly and Allan choreographed an Advanced level routine to T-Pain and Flo Rida's hit song "Get Low", and taught it to a large group comprising most of Australia's Modern Jive dance company directors and many Masters level dancers, in three full-on training sessions totalling around 10 hours. The Low routine was then presented at the 2008 LeStep Modern Jive Championships as a feature group performance.
Holly and Allan enjoy travelling, competing, teaching and getting to meet and dance with people from all around the country. Most of all, they are passionate about Modern Jive and are excited about the development of the dance all over Australia.
Holly & Allan Adelaide Long Weekender
Holly and Allan are quite simply in a class of their own - and this is an unique opportunity to spend over ten hours in workshops and classes learning from, socialising and dancing with them.
Ceroc & Modern Jive Adelaide is excited and proud to welcome Holly and Allan back to South Australia a second time, for the Holly & Allan Adelaide Long Weekender 2009!
