As well as our classes, workshops and courses, we also teach choreographed routines to complete songs. Learning a choreographed routine is a terrific way to improve your dancing for a number of reasons. Firstly, we really focus on making sure you know how to do all the moves from the routine correctly. Next, we help you to learn how to do those moves in time with the music - by identifying and using cues in the music and through the use of 'choreography count', and also by giving you an understanding of the breakdown of the musical structure of the song. Finally, our choreography includes specific styling (for both the guys and the ladies) for the moves in the routine, which you can take away and use in your freestyle.
We also offer a performance opportunity for everyone who learns a routine, usually in front of other students at one of our regular dance parties or other social events. Some of the routines that we teach become part of our public demonstration repertoire, and students who have learnt those routines may be invited to join our demo team.
